This isn‘t even exaggerated! I have noticed this difference as well in Germany vs. the USA.
Quiet, clean and seemingly non-invasive feather weights that are perfectly blending in in nature so that even the most attentive escape animals don‘t show any reaction when you pass by them… vs. muddy giants that are guaranteed unmissable 😂

Lol this is spot on. Except the American commercials always show the colossal truck or suv out in the middle of nowhere climbing over rocks and dirt roads when the reality is the customers they're going after paying $100k are in the suburbs and only ever drive these huge vehicles to the grocery or big box store.

As a European, I see two types of car ads:
1 - This car looks compact, but you can fit a lot of stuff inside and drive to fun places like the beach with your kids or with your friends.
2 - This car is exclusive af and everyone will envy you.
Both of them show the car driving on completely deserted, windy roads while the voiceover insists this car is very 1 - practical or 2 - luxurious.
