I started learning Ancient Greek last year as a Covid hobby. I am far from fluent but I'm able to read Plato and Homer with a dictionary handy after a little less than a year

It's a difficult language but just keep chipping at it, the payoff of reading Homer and seeing for yourself his mastery of Greek is truly incredible.
