I’m weary to witness the murders tonight

Another convicted to die

Knee-deep she sits in the mud crouching tight
Despair is long gone from her face
The tears that dried, have cut lines round her eyes
She stares at the barrel of her faith
The muzzle touches her dripping cold nose
Her child looks into my eyes
One last time

Cutting through shards of hope, embracing memories
Fighting off the remnants of hate, kneeling on killing fields

I stare at the walls that are paved with blood...
It drips from the edges of my dreams.
