My gf and I have iOS 17 installed, and she was able to do the check in feature on her end to send to me, but when I try to send my check in to her, I get the message saying that “check in can’t be sent to this recipient.” Anyone know why that is? We both have precision location turned on in our iMessage app, I rebooted my phone, turned on airplane mode for a little bit and back off again, but nothing seems to be working to allow me to send her my check in. The very first time I tried, I was able to go through the initial set up/permissions process, but once I was done I got that message saying I couldn’t send it to her, but like I said, she was able to send it to me. I’m so confused.

The problem I see with using it for kids going to school or arriving home is that the iMessage needs to be created every day.

The other problem is that it won't allow you to set "Home" as an arrival point if you are already home. The error message is that it's too close. This means the kids would need to set this at school before heading home
