Okarun AWAKENS his TRUE POWER: Secret Spirit REVEALED! DANDADAN

Dandadan revealed that Okarun lost the ability to use Turbo Granny’s power, which in theory, should now make him an ordinary human, but is that really the case? Well, we got the answer to that in 167 when Okarun was able to run a 50-meter sprint in just 5.8 seconds, a record he last timed at 9 seconds before his brief stint with granny’s power. He’s even able to throw a ball as far as 35 meters, complete 80 sidesteps and 120 shuttle runs, he’s pretty much become a pro athlete without the training needed to do so, the real question is why? You see, the popular theory is that Okarun’s body simply got stronger because of the many battles he fought using granny’s power, and while this is true to some degree, it doesn’t account for his true power in its entirety.

Ken having his powers awakened by a ghost makes sense from a narrative standpoint because it mirrors Momo.

Momo didn't believe in *Aliens*, and had a childhood filled with spirituality. Momo gets occult powers (telekinesis) from her initial encounter with the Serpo aliens.
Ken didn't believe in *Ghosts*, and had a childhood filled with occultism. Ken gets spiritual(?) powers from his initial encounter with Turbo Granny.

Something I feel hasn't been brought up is the fact that Okarun was able to see Turbo granny long before she ever cursed him. My understanding has been that people aren't even able to see or interact with spirits unless they at least have the potential to awaken to spiritual energy. It's why most people aren't dragged into empty space when spirits are active. Yet, Okarun upon traveling to Turbo Granny's domain was able to SEE her. It'd be one thing if he suddenly just got cursed, but he was able to see her and be spoken to by her, which implies he at least had the potential to awaken.
It's probably even why she specifically chose to curse him instead of just killing him, and why she wanted him to come face her again. There's something special about him that she wanted.
From there, it's likely that whatever that special thing is, has been dormant due to him relying on Turbo granny's powers or even from her suppressing it, intentionally or otherwise; however, it's been growing all the same as he interacts with aliens and spirits, fights against/alongside them, and also physically trains- something which Seiko states also contributes to the strength of one's chi.
Then there's the fact that he finally got his balls back, which were encased and soaked through with Turbo granny's powers. I think Okarun's chi has only been growing, and has essentially 'learned' from Turbo granny's powers.
I don't think he's going to just get her powers back; I think that kind've defeats the point of his growth, with Okarun learning to stand on his own and be a man without needing to rely on that kind of help. However, I think he will come into his own powers, which are likely to carry some traits that he has learned through interacting with Turbo Granny's powers.

His awakening, no matter the form it takes, will probably happen the next tuesday in the manga. After all, Okarun losing his powers doesn't break the contract with the evil eye, and everybody seems to have forgotten it. So he will come to fight Okarun, and Okarun won't have a choice, he will have to get spiritual powers at that time, or evil eye will kill everybody.

I think a lot of people over look chapter 1 where okarun actually saw turbo granny it would be one thing momo saw turbo granny then granny cursed okarun for fun or because she couldn’t possess momo instead okarun saw turbo granny right off the bat he was able to see yoki powers so i think he would of already been able to enter empty space before being cursed just it never happened

My personal want is for St. Germaine to train Okarun. I know he's being hyped up as an antagonist but i think it would be cool to see him using multiple yokai powers in tandom with his insane physical abilities.

What if the amount of spiritual power Ken got soaked in bcz of being Tubro Granny’s vessel and having his balls turned into essentially spiritual relics, if Ken has developed Shaman powers?! Kinda like Momo’s grandma

I think Turbo Granny and St. Germain has an untold story that will surely be told in the future. I also thought that St. Germain couldn't steal Okarun's power despite that he yielded because that said power was not his own YET in the first place. St. Germain's ability to control memories of humans is quite handy for him and dangerous to others.

I have a theory that Okarun's true power is something similar to Count Saint Germain's, but instead of stealing, Okarun can bond/mimic/copy Yokai's powers. It would make sense aliens experimenting on an individual with such capabilities. Also, it would be awesone if Okarun and Momo awaken their final form/true powers together.

It would be cool if he had his own power and maybe if the granny turbo came back to him (since that transformation is iconic) he could even surpass the limits of the granny turbo itself.

I would be happy if Okarun trains his power, and afterwards recover Turbo Granny's power. I do see her having trouble dealing with Saint Germaine, while Okarun is growing in a different way, and then work again together, we renewed mastery on both his own power and being a stronger vessel for Turbo Granny. That could be a very good thing.

Mabye if he trains enough he can control the sperital energy so he might be able to change form back to that cool form he had cause yoki and mythical beings can change forms the more powerful they become so we may see okarun and he may get strong let and get that form or a similar one to it if he trains

By the way, I have a rather odd theory. A lot of people believe that Okarun's form with the mask is dependent on TG's powers, but we're not told that directly anywhere. I mean, yes, he certainly uses her powers in that mode, but he also doesn't look the slightest bit like her in those moments. Just look at even the other possessed willingly (Aira)/unwillingly (JiJi, Zuma). They all have the distinctive traits of their Yokai in their modes:
1. Aira - her character traits and appearance are very similar to her Yokai
2. JiJi - he literally has an eye in his forehead
3. Zuma - he literally uses umbrellas (the boy with the umbrella)
That said, Okarun doesn't have any TG hallmarks other than speed, isn't that weird?

I think it has to do with the fact that many people forget that he only had TG powers (i.e. without the Yokai consciousness part as in other cases), which had nothing to do with his transformations. Especially the powers themselves wanted to stay with him because of his great potential. And his transformations are just a way to effectively use the newfound powers. I mean, I think that if he gets other powers/reveals his own, he can still use his Special Mode with the mask, it's just that now he won't be running 100km/h with it, but maybe using something else.
Then it wouldn't break our Okarun's key image either, but it would show his effective growth as a character.
