NASA has turned pressure waves emanating from a black hole at the centre of the Perseus galaxy into notes audible to humans for the first time. The sound waves were extracted along the radius of the galaxy, outwards from its centre, and were transformed into the range of human hearing by scaling them upward by 57 and 58 octaves above their true pitch.

Honestly sounds like how I think it would sound. It sounds like something that absorbs everything around it.

Exactly how I’d imagine a giant space sink draining to sound like.

It's very fascinating. Weirdly monstrous but also like an engine sound of natural forces. It doesn't creep me out--but it's like when you see and hear a mighty thunder and lightning storm--you're absorbed by the sheer power of it. It also humbles you to recognize how powerful mother nature is. I have the same feelings listening to this.

It sounds like OM which is seed sound of this universe as all other sounds and words originate from it. By chanting OM during meditation we align our frequency with the universe and it affects person's physical, mental and emotional state.

The sounds in the video are roughly 200 Hz, and are scaled up by 57 octaves. Each octave is 2x the frequency of the lower one, so the original frequency was 200*(0.5)^57=10^-15 Hz, or one beat every 10^15 seconds, or 30 million years. Compared to the audible range of 20-20, 000 Hz, it's hard to call this sound. This "sound" is extracted from imagery of waves in the gases surrounding the rapidly rotating black hole.

*"OMM" is the sound of the universe and it was already told by our ancestors several thousands of years ago.*

In our indian scriptures it is written that the sound of space is OM, It is written that all the physical material is made up of sounds(vibrations) and the sound is aa+uu+ma(Aum)....for ex - the seven colors have originated from white color and all of the colors that we see are made from the combinations of these 7 colors, just like that all the different sounds are a combination of these 3 sounds nasa proved the sound of space

When you meditate OM with close eyes, you will feel same sound.

"Om bhurv bhuvah" is like three foot steps of bhagwan vishnu, the whole universe is moving due to that.

In shrimad bhagwatam it iss clearly stated that till the any single person will chant "Om bhurv bhuvah" universe will move.

Its OM. How come our rishis in ancient india knew and said this is the primordial sound thousands of years ago sitting in forests doing yoga is making me wonder.

OM-The sound of the universe. The so called discoveries that science is making these days have been very well explained in our VEDAS long back by our learned Rishi Muni & scholars of that time. Our great SANATAN DHARM has always been scientific. And that's the reason why we feel blessed to be HINDUS.🕉🕉🕉🕉
