Can I do that final tip without getting a new card? For example, if I have had 3 cards with a bank for a while can I have the credit line from 2 of them moved to the 3rd card? Or will this only work if and when I get a new card with that bank?

What about the fact the chase Sapphire reserve makes points worth 50 percent more and that they knock off $300 on travel expenses making it really $150.

Good advice. I think you might not be eligible for a bonus on that new AA card, though. As I understand it, Citi has a clock where once you receive a bonus for a card in a particular group, you are not eligible for another bonus in that group for 24 months. I don’t know this from experience, though, just from watching a lot of videos.

Thank for the video. I’m not offended travel does chase preferred a best option for me if not which one would you recommend? Thank again

Sucks you need to have the card for at least 1 year before you can downgrade to a no annual fee. They won't waive the annual fee for any reason. Only way to waive it for the first year is to go into a Chase bank when applying.

Take a guess i'm wrong there's that other Barclay's arrival card. whenever you call the application department and ask them after year 1 when the bank tells me I have to pay the fee the application department always tells you that you can't down grade or product change take a guess the application department is wrong. I was talking to somebody over the phone Tuesday night and they were telling me just like they have that down grade option of the Chase Sapphire Preferred down to the basic Sapphire no annual fee and United Milege plus explorer down to United Bank and United Milege explorer all free cards. Barclay's has one also same as the Sapphire preferred 2x on dining and travel 1 point on all other purchases 0 foreign transaction fee and no annual fee.

with the last option you are opening a new trade line. So your hurting your AAOA. I would just downgrade the card, the sign up bonus on the mile up card isn’t big enough, to take the credit hit. Inquiry or AAOA.

what happens when you downgrade, do you lose out on not getting another sign up bonus as opposed to just sign up for the no annual fee version to get another sign up bonus?

If you got the AA platinum last year wouldnt you be ineligible for the signup bonus on the no AF card because of the 24 month rule with citi?

Good advice! They had a similar hack for this but I've heard that it's patched now. I'll discuss with my Credit Circle to see if its any other ones. I'm still debating if I should get the CSR or CSP and upgrading later. I've only been a Chase customer for going on two months

Question which situation do you like better even though both situations aren't great?

Bank Of America not waving the fee for the first year on there premium travel card or Barclays not having a down graded card on the arrival side?

Citi let's you product change to any card.
You could just apply for the mile up card and then product change to the Double Cash or the Dividend card.
The Dividend card can only be had by product changing, and is just like the Discover IT card.
Furthermore, you won't be able to apply to the Mile Up card if you got the Platinum card last year. Citi has a rule where you have to wait 24 moths before getting a new bonus in a family of cards.

Great video I have the Citi Business aa platnum select with 86k aa miles my af is due soon . I don’t want to pay the af on my cc & I want to keep my aa miles any suggestions . Btw why don’t you downgrade your citi platnum cc to the aa mile up card that way you keep the credit history & avoid an inquiry

I heard from someone on our YouTube video's that the Citi American airlines advantage is a horrible card him and his family flew out to the Foreign country side of the carribean and he had to check his bags no free bags with a 99.00 annual fee he's furious with Citi. How does Citi treat you?

Do you have to be honest 3:23 in the video you have other cards that have better miles earning same as better benefits or did I make mistake?

so let's say somebody has the capitol1 Venture card after year 1 like you said in the video call the back of the card your going to tell them your using a card that has more miles in accruing what card would that be the Regular Sapphire, Citi Thank you premiere?

But isn't one of the reasons to close out a credit card is if it has a annual fee?

so for Barclay's Arrival after year 1 the 89.00 annual fee is due after talking to 2 account mgrs. they said theres no downgrade able card so what are you suppose to do?

If you did call up and say I want to cancel my card if I have to pay a fee what would they do would they actually do cancel the card or would they give you another year free for any travel card except Barclay's Arrival?

Hey Wise, I got a question it is quite noobie, longtime age debate do you leave $1 or pay all off to 0 at the end of the month.
