This week I interview Anthony Adams, a fellow member of the autism community. When we discuss autism as a marginalized identity we often fail to take into account intersection. Therefore Anthony is here to discuss his own experience and perspective.

This is a great interview. I hope that it opens the eyes of the rest of the world. I have a thirteen-year-old daughter who has recently been diagnosed. Part of the problem with getting her diagnosed has been the fact that she is Native American and obviously Native American. (Black hair and eyes and dark skin) The only way she could get diagnosed was by being arrested because it has been nearly impossible to get anyone to look at her because of lack of insurance at times. Now that she is diagnosed and we know the problem the judge still refuses to listen to her diagnosis and admit that her problems stem from her Aspergers. I think having people like Anthony Adams speak out and tell his story will really help the rest of the World understand that it's not just in the white communities. Thanks for sharing another great video.
