Mike I do not know who you are but all I know is that your videos contributed to my passing the Boards two days ago. Thank you for all you do.

56 year old male here.
In June of 2016 I suffered my third CVA. On August 18th of this year I suffered a major T.I.A.. And less than a week later on the 24th of August I had my fourth CVA. Recovery is all dependent of what part of the brain is hit and how much damage is done. So far I have been lucky. My recovery has never taken longer than a month.
To those who are still recovering: Don't give up the fight.

Just my two cents about dressing weaker sides as it's always helped me to remember which one goes first...I was taught as a CNA that we dress the weaker side first, because at that point, the clothing is free hanging and easy to slide on. The stronger side has mobility and can handle the twisting and turning needed to maneuver the arm or leg through the hole, which is much more taught. This makes injury and skin shearing less likely for the affected side.
Then when you remove the clothing, remove it from the strong side first, because it can bend and maneuver out of the tighter sleeve or pant. Then you have the slack needed to easily slide the other side off of the affected limb without having to contort it, therefore avoiding shearing and injury.

Mike I’ve been a nurse for a year, just had my first stroke alert and I just for the life of me couldn’t remember what the plan of action needed to be. Coming to you now for a review. Thanks for the videos.
