I try what you did and the only thing that happen is nodemcu just flash but nothing else. Trying using Arduino ide and I get an error message say fail to receive packet header.

Hi bro please help me again ! Cause you are the only one whom I can trust yesterday my node mcu arrived It was working good I tried to make its led blink so I gave it 6v charge and now it's not working its wifi part is heating like a heater and wifi is not coming please guide me what to do next

It worked for me thanks a lot. At first try i did 115200 baud rate and failed. Stick with 230400
