This "story" is crap. Matt Lauer was not fired until AFTER the #MeToo movement. Katie's first comment after Matt was fired was Matt was the horniest guy she knew and hit on all women at the station. ALL on-air females feared if they did not "kiss-up" to Lauer, they'd be fired like Ann Curry. Savannah Guthrie said something on-air and the look on Matt's face was that of "you'll regret that remark." Savannah looked horrified and said, "I love you Matt, " but Matt's facial expression did not change and the vibe was "cold" all morning afterwards between them.

🆘 In her new book, liberal Democrat Katie Couric admits she edited a 2016 interview with Ruth Bader Ginsburg to suppress the Supreme Court Justice’s feelings about people who kneel in protest during the national anthem.
The former Woke Today Show anchor reveals in her memoir “Going There, ” which releases October 26, that Ginsburg told her athletes who kneel during the national anthem like Colin Kaepernick are showing “contempt for a government that has made it possible for their parents and grandparents to live a decent life.”

Ann Curry figured it out, but Katie was obtuse.

Matt a player? Never would of guess. You don't know celeb's true color till the camera is off.

Of course Couric didn't know about Lauer's behavior. A narcissist like Couric was too self absorbed with her quest to get to the top to see or care about anyone other than her own self.

Back then if Katie had said anything she would have been labeled a trouble maker, especially if she weren't directly involved. They all were greatly loved by the American public. But Katie would have been dragged through the courts of public opinion back then. I don't know why people try to rewrite history about how women were treated who stood up for themselves. It wasn't just male establishments but other women cast stones too.
