Ann Curry knew. He sidelined Ann Curry. How could anyone not know? There’s a reason he needed to get rid of her, and it wasn’t the ratings…

Matt Lauer is a sleeze. He was horrible to Ann Curry and Tamron Hall

I call BS on Couric... she's trying to sell a book treading on other's backs.

Today and the network owe the public answers, people need to be held accountable and an apology is owed to Ann Curry!

Ok and let’s talk to Ann Curry about this. Be fair Today or you’ll remain guilty.

I was never a fan of Katie Couric. I always thought she was very fake. I was very correct!

katie trying to sell a book and not get her hands dirty. She basically admits that she knew. "There was gossip"

There's no way that Couric didn't know. Ann Curry continues to win at life.

Everyone knows about the high powered men behaving inappropriately at their workplace. There is no way she did not know and I think she was more focused on her own survival rather than the safety of the other women.

"Kind and generous and considerate" (according to Katie Couric); yet, she didn't notice when he seemed to throw Ann Curry under the bus. Nobody thought it was allegedly disgusting when he was callous toward Ann Curry. These people look the other way and maintain a "friendship" with the powers-that-be until association with that person makes them look bad. Unless Katie plans on putting the money from that book toward the pain and suffering and lost wages of Ann Curry, then that book needs to be recycled.

One callous person can’t call another callous person out. She has no high ground. Trying to save her book. She knew what Matt was like. Everyone did. Both have tremendous egos and are arrogant.

Lauer didn't like Ann because she didn't play along with his "other side." Too classy and professional and moral. Meanwhile, Katie giggled on Andy Cohen's show (prior to #metoo and Lauer's firing) that Lauer "smacks my @$$ a alot" when Cohen asked her what her and Lauer's relationship was like off the set.

How funny is it that two people who knew exactly what was going on and really didn't care now have to pretend care for sake of the public who never cared either?

BS. She is trying to save her face for not saying anything.

Everyone commenting here needs to ask themselves if they have always reported everything they heard rumors about or anything they felt wrong about at work. The reality is that work environments just don’t function that way and that much more the case 15 years ago.

I think it is also a little odd to have Guthrie asking these questions of Couric. She enjoyed the same position as Couric, working next to Lauer for years but in a more enlightened era.

I love that Savannah didn’t take the bait when Katie said “I’ve learned so much and I’m sure you have too”. 👍🏼

The lack of nuance in these comments. The way y'all judge people with such a black/white perspective is so odd. Critical thinking is a good thing, guys.

I feel like Jennifer Aniston in The Morning Show was essentially playing Katie Couric
