Not really following the channel, but presentator sounds like one of those toddler shows host. Really love the enthusiasm and clear delivery of the content!

The way I started things back in 2013 was Deck Builders's toolkit and Intro pack. Some will say that was a mistake but it gave me the jankiest, barebones core to start using my brain to deckbuild. From there I built my Izzet counterburn style deck and since I got 4 Gary's...mono black devotion. I still play those decks. They went through a dozen iterations each.
The way I do things for the last xy years is event decks/challenger decks. I buy 2 of the same kind. That gives me one really good deck and the rest goes into other decks. Or commander. I just started commander. I mean, buying Dragon's Maze "Strength of Selesnya" event deck has yielded Parallel Lives which pays off the deck and then the rest shuffles around.
Now that I have a decent number of decks I started the long and painful process of buying SINGLES. Mainly LANDS. When you pick your favourite budget deck start making it non-budget. It is slow and hurts since lands are boring. Why spend 20+ € on a land when you can get 10-15 funky rares for a new deck. That is the mindset you need to get rid of to start making your decks strong. Buy singles.

Pauper is really popular in Italy and Spain

Always looking for a way to get newbies into the game. This video was a eureka moment for me. Getting folks to spend $200 on a standard deck for a few FNMs only to have it rotate in a couple months is way more investment than having them buy a pioneer precon or playing some casual jumpstart/kitchen table games.

3:40 As a die hard Burn/RDW player, I 100% agree with this!!! Great deck and easy to learn the basics of, but also takes a lot of skill to truly master, which is a good thing because it gives you room to learn and grow as a player.

I'm really hoping the local in person constructed market picks back up again. Drafting is great, but I'd like to do something else with all this cardboard I've been hoarding for 20+ years. Good luck on your trek to 20k subs!

The best product for begginers was welcome decks but they stoped that, and if i have to recommend something for news playera that would be going to your local game store and ask there if they can help you, then when you know basics go for prerealise

Love this energy you have! Thinking of picking up mtg, could there be a more updated starter guide for 2023/24?

Thanks for the info. As someone trying to get back into warhammer and mtg from the 90s and early 00s this was good info to know. I miss those werid blue packs that were called cracked I think? The price of 40k alone has put that on the back burner but I’m definitely getting back into magic, no friends to play with though I’ll have to make those again.

I haven’t had any paper cards in years, and didn’t know cardmarket had a lots section.
Idk if I’ll pick up a box of bulk but it could be fun

This is an awesome addition to this channel! Lol also I checked out the AI generated cards video and it was unbelievably hilarious. Thumbs up!

Sadly where i'm from nobody plays pioneer ever. When i initially returned a couple months ago i bought all the pioneer precons just to find out nobody plays pioneer 😅. Then i just built a modern mono red prowess out of the pioneer precon with buying singles :). And this summer i'll build another modern deck welp ^^.

Would you recommend buying one of the commander decks as a beginner? If so, which one?

Do you have some advice for potential returning players? I quit during Kamigawa and I was playing type 1. While I'm currently playing on Arena and having fun, I feel like I will never be able to come back to paper magic, or at least my old bazaars and dual lands are out of question!

deck builder's toolkit would be a perfect product for a beginner...

...if they still manufactured it

Hey that's a clip from MTG Origionaldecks. Buying singles does make beggining magic so much more fun and cheap. I spent hours scouring the gatherer for cards I like and went from there. Now I'm hopelessly addicted. Thanks Richard!
