I have collect various art hobbies over the years after spending decades collecting books. Watercolours, gauche, oils, expensive pencils, chalks, paintbrushes.. then I put them away

Then it was cross stitch, always come back to it every few years and devastated I can’t find my bag this time round

Then I did upcycling for about a year and a half and only upcycled a couple of things.

Then it was sewing - but it had to be on a vintage machine, so I’ve got mum’s old Singer sewing machine and a 1970’s turquoise singer also. Genuine moments of joy and I jumped up and down with glee when I got my turquoise machine it was so pretty

Now it’s rolling back to art again - only taken about 25 years so hang on in there folks !! Hobby resurrection is a thing

Your true hobby is collecting hobbies.

I've helped clear out estates where the dearly departed had two full rooms with various hobbies and materials for them. Everything from needlepoint to ceramics.
My stash of yarn is mostly from two separate estates.

This is me to a T! This happens with every hobby I’ve EVER taken an interest in, I cannot tell you how many different obsessions I’ve had, gathered all necessary equipment and materials just to lose heart and give up after a few feeble attempts 😅

Painting miniatures (mostly warhammer at the moment) is perfect for me! A new, completly different, set every now and then, and i'm actually doing it.

There are so many things i planned, bought stuff for, and did it once.
But miniatures actually work out.

Yep! I have several plastic 3-drawer storage systems to house my sewing, beading, epoxy, and various drawing mediums I refuse to get rid of because it was expensive and I'll get to it eventually!
