Does James 5:20 PROVE That You CAN Lose Your Salvation?

James 5:20 is commonly cited by proponents of conditional security as an alleged proof text. The Bible says, "Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins." Does this support the idea that salvation can be lost? Or are we eternally secure in Christ? I pray this video provides clarity and dispels confusion. God bless! - OD

“One day you’ll stand before God and He’ll ask, ‘What right do you have to come in here?’ and you’ll answer, ‘None… I’ve got no right… Except I’ve got Jesus, and His gift, and I’m trusting in that, in Him, and His righteousness.’”

The “conditioners of salvation” can never tell you where the threshold is. Our creator is not the author of confusion and concealment when it comes to salvation

The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

All it says is that without faith you will not produce the good works of God. For it is through faith we are saved, and through this faith Christ works through us.

I like that you explain James, too many teachers avoid it because it is “difficult to clarify “ to the audience.
Great Ono, God bless you!

Amen brother. Your channel is a blessing and I'm glad to have come across it. The teaching of many pastors and theologians has made a lot of people read eternal salvation into scriptures where it does not apply. And the result is people being on edge spiritually because they are now paranoid that they can lose eternal life based on the conditions of the verses they are reading. The example of James 5:20 was a good proof of that error and you did a great job breaking it down.

Thanks for the video.

Blessed are those who have not seen and still believe.

Dear brother in Christ, your channel has been a great blessing for the edification of the Body of Christ, I praise the Lord that He continues to use people who are committed and diligent in the faith as in your case. ¿Do you have a video where you explain how we should interpret Ephesians 1:3-5? Calvinists use this verse to support the doctrine of "unconditional election."

Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, but I know that You are the Savior, Who died on the cross for my sin and rose again from the dead. Now come into my life. I choose to follow You from this moment forward, Thank you for hearing this prayer and answering this prayer. In Jesus name, Amen.

God isn’t an Indian giver. He seals you for salvation if you sincerely acknowledge your sin, repent and ask Jesus into your heart. You are sealed by Him. Remember that He saw your future when He saved you. Take comfort in that.

How can you have a new life in Christ if you constantly worry about your assurance of salvation? If you have to earn it? It makes God into a source of panic and fear. But God is love and not fear. Fear and confusion come from the enemy. Lordship salvation is of the devil.

Not only did he not answer the dilemma, but he horrendously misinterpreted the verses to fit his unbiblical dogma. Salvation many times is described as a process, and whether you believe it’s a moment, process, and a future event, if it is AT ALL a process, osas is debunked. Martin Luther never even taught this, and I’m a Protestant saying this.
