It breaks my heart that he was killed by someone he was trying to help.

The way his face slowly drops... subtle and extremely human. A short moment, but that is some Acting right there

My father always said…

“Life isn’t fun without a struggle in it, but some struggles lead to tragic endings.”

that actor did a great job at warping his face into different emotions 11/10

There's a thing about grief and how loud it is without a word being spoken. Asking the man's name twice hit me in the feels.

The thousand yard stare when you know your life has changed forever. Incredible acting

There's an entire story worth of emotions being written on this man's face. Amazing acting skills.

This happend to me on deployment, came back from six days being out, and asked about a friend and uh, just the way everyone looked at me when i asked, it was worse than them telling me what happend, and honestly when i was told i left and went home to my tent on base and uh well, just stared at something for about 3 or 4 hours before someone touched me and woke me up, and then i couldnt feel hunger what so ever for about 8 months after, and i probably drank more alchohol in one year than 99% of humans do their entire

I've read the letters my great grandma and her sons got when the death of one of the brothers was announced and in non of those they were as timid in their description of how it happened as here. They described the place, the time, the goal of the mission, how they died, what happened to their bodies and if they were recoverable. My grandma, a little kid then, said she'll always remember the mailman and his face, who cried while carrying out these letters knowing full well that another life had been taken away too soon. It was a horrible time.

The “sorry, what” was a great touch of reality. He’s so overwhelmed with grief in that moment that his senses and ability to process words are dulled.

There is no pain that will last longer and echo deeper than a man wanting to see a brother to find out he is gone forever. Peace to all that know this bereavement.

Felt so bad for Will. He completed the mission but he would have to return to his unit and spend the rest of the war without his best friend.
I hope Erinmore gave him a medal for his efforts.
The war would grind on for a long time

I thought Tom was the main character. I was so shocked by the farm scene, a beautiful movie.
