For anybody who doesn't know, during the war many countries would produce these masks and there purposes was supposed to cover up or replace a part of there face that was missing.


Fun fact: these masks were also useful for spying on enemy bases, or to help scout for enemy snipers. So basically they would put the (Fake) head on a stick and adjust it just so it's right over the trench line, and this would trick the snipers on to shooting the head, and this helped soldiers find out the snipers location, and they would either have a counter sniper to take out the enemy, or call artillery on there position.
