Started making some of these last night and I gotta say I'm quite amazed at how realistic they look even without paint which I'll be working on later tonight after work. 😎

This is awesome. After struggling with Foam Board over here in the UK, this is exactly what I needed! Quality stuff!

Foe more sturdy boards, I use square cake boards that I buy in bulk from a local hardware shop of all places :-) They go from 6"x6" up to 2'x2' sq, and the larger ones can be used to make an entire 4'x4' table worth of stackable tiles in no time at all :-D They have foil on one side, but are made from cardboard, so flip them over, and the bare cardboard underneath can have glue painted over it without it warping, due to the foil wrapped top part of the cake board. The only drawback can be the weight when carrying them to the club night, but I find it an easy way to make loads of large tiles for my club-mates to play over. Love all your videos, and am always inspired every time I watch them :-D

How convenient, I had planned to spend part of this weekend finally getting around to making some dungeon tiles!

I've been "about to" create a metal board, for magnetic reasons, for awhile. I've been waiting, to decide on a surface treatment. I think this'll work a treat. Gonna give this a go. Good stuff, Jay (As a refresher; filler = spackle =/= drywall compound)

That is a really interesting method of making stone floors! Thanks for sharing this.

That looks darn good! Never thought of the spackle trick, thanks for the tip!

Are you doing anymore videos? I like your frugal approach

I'm a big fan of the Crooked Staff Terrain stuff and my experience with that is that it's easier to get consistent results by spending a bit on foamboard for the bases. That way you don't have slightly different widths of cardboard to deal with.

Great build. I can see lots of different custom additions on this with it being cheap.

Just discovered your channel and I absolutely love it! But now I'm depressed.

This looks lovely! I think I can use something like this to make like a town square field by throwing in a few other elements. Great video!

This looks way better than it has any right to bed.

i like the technique, what is the weight of the tiles? are they real light and blow around?

Nice build there mate, they looked great. Wyloch does some nice cardboard tiles too if you haven't seen them.
Also if you add pva to your filler/paint it stops the reactivation.

Can you come back please? I really enjoy your videos, especially the ones for modern city terrain
