“We Belong Together” is one of Mariah Carey’s greatest hits.

Nelly Furtado's Promiscuous was one of the biggest comebacks of the 2000s that brought her more success than before

I would rank We belong together in the Top 10. It was Billboard's Song of the Decade (2000-2009) and Mariah had been almost out of the game after Glitter and the non-commercial Charmbracelet

Mariah's We Belong Together should be up there in the Top 5. The song and Mimi was all over the place in 2005. The biggest radio hit of the year, breaking records and catapulted with the deserving Grammy awards. Due to it's never ending popularity, the song was voted Song of the Decade by Billboard. No offense meant to all the songs and artists included in the Top 10 but WBT by Mariah Carey was without a doubt had the biggest impact in the music world.

Johnny Cash remaking Hurt makes me cry every time I hear it. The first time I heard it I could just sense that it was Johnny’s swan song.

I still remember that when Madonna released Ray of Light album in 1998, the world was mesmerised with the new spiritual Madonna, that was my favourite era of Madonna, every tracks in that album are spectacular. Most memorable comeback with 4 Grammys from that era although I think it should have win Album of The Year

Madonna and her fantastic Frozen should be in the top 5. Such an amazing song and video. Britney still had hits a year before Womanizer - Gimme More and Piece of Me

Santanas smooth is still easily one of the sexiest sounding song to this day, there's something about it.

Cher's song "If I Could Turn Back Time" was very catchy. And the music video aboard the battleship Missouri was very badass!!😎 And Mariah Carey's song "We Belong Together" is absolute beauty!😍

I'm a bit shocked you didn't mention Jennifer Lopez's On the Floor, Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Suck Without You and Nelly Furtado's Promiscuous.
Madonna's Frozen is the real masterpiece - the only DIVA wo can sound amazingly great and unique in different musical genres

The fact that We Belong Together is 16 despite charting higher and longer than a lot of these songs is crazy. Not to mention it was literally the song of the decade 😂

Most of these “comebacks” are just a couple of years past their most recent hits. How about some REAL and unexpected comebacks like Roy Orbison with “You Got It” or The Beach Boys “Kokomo”? Those songs were huge hits that came decades after the artists were relevant.

Kylie Minouge’s “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head.”
Oh, I really ❤️ that song.

I would put Believe as Cher's comeback song rather than If I Could Turn Back Time. Prior to If I Could Turn Back Time, she had several hits such as I Found Someone and After All but for most of the 90's, she went without a hit until Believe was released in 1998 and Believe was HUGE!

Other missed comebacks:

It’s Impossible by Perry Como
My Ding a Ling by Chuck Berry
Theme from New York, New York by Frank Sinatra
The Doctor by Doobie Brothers
Kokomo by Beach Boys
One by Bee Gees
This Little Girl by Gary US Bonds
Groovy Situation by Gene Chandler
Free As a Bird by The Beatles

In 1995, 25 years after they broke up (and 15 years after John's death) The Beatles released Free As A Bird. It most definitely should have been on this list.
