Hello Ravish,
You explanied it very clearly and in a easy way.
Two points I would like to add:
1. Instead of saving the sonar API token in environment variables and using it, we can use it from the credential that you saved in jenkins credentials, that is best practice.
2. In the sonar scan report it was showing zero coverage, It maybe because you have not added any test cases in code or it is not picking the coverage report from the build.
