So if I am understanding correctly.... out of the 3.5 million apps out there, only about 20 work with android andoid auto is fairly useless then? I wish I could add other GPS applications to it (we use an RV specific one so we don't hit low bridges).

I know how to add the apps that are published to android Auto. I want to add the apps that are NOT published to Android Auto. Currently the only way I know to get it done is using Magic Box 2.0 but I really don't want to attach an appliance with possible sketchy security issues to my vehicle. I would prefer just to have my phone connected to my head unit and not an appliance in the middle.
