I've finally picked up one of my personal computer grails- an original Silicon Graphics workstation, the Octane! Dual "mystery until tested" CPU, 640MB ram, 2 40gb SCSI disks, MXI graphics board with 2 T-RAM modules, 623watt PSU.

Hello, I wonder if you can help me. Just like you, growing up in the 90s as a gamer and fan of movie buff I became familiar with this company and the role they had in advancing 3D graphics. So when I saw a immaculate looking SGI 1600SW monitor with their branding I picked one up for free at a recycling center. Can I plug this monitor into a VGA card using an adaptor like the one you showed in your video?. The monitor is great, the mechanism it has is robust enough to still work perfectly. I would like to be able to use it with MAME etc

I'm dying to get a SGI.  Would you recommend looking for one of these or the O2 now that you've had time to play?
