by the way the throwing the doll into the lava part is a reverence to how you spawn one of the bosses in terraria (the wall of flesh) as you need to throw a cursed doll into some lava to spawn it, it has nothing to do with how dolls work in stardew valley, its just a neat reference

About the new mysteries, today I saw a big rat and mouse creature that I haven't seen before in the game, I wonder if you can research about it and what kind of easteregg it is, I saw it at the bus stop on my way to town, just like how we got the magnifying glass item in winter the first year. As soon as it saw me it ran away and I chased after it but there was no sign of it.
