From Lissie: "On Sept. 10th I’m putting out Watch Over Me (Early Works 2002-2009) which is a collection of old songs I rediscovered during this past strange year. I felt that some of you might find it interesting to get a glimpse into the moments & songs that brought me to today! 'All Be Okay' is such a delightful song. I wrote it in 2007, about two years into my time in LA, when I found myself in a very warm and welcoming community of musicians. We had our Beachwood Rockers crew and our weekly residency at Cranes Hollywood Tavern. I was playing with a band for the first time! That being said, there was still some fear that went along with trying to make it in the big city, power struggles and hurt feelings. There was levity in just believing that everything would work out in the end, would be okay! It seems like this is changing for the better so much everyday though!"

I listen to Lissie pretty much constantly of late. Her music really speaks to me. She has made so many great songs. Her voice is so beautiful and idiosyncratic too. She deserves to be so much bigger than she is. 🧡🧡🧡
