Subtlety Levelling Explained (WoW Classic)

It's the best spec, if you say otherwise then you're clearly delusional. Just admit you've been playing the game wrong, it's okay.

Great post mate.
I was a daggers build NE rogue when originally playing Wow the first time around (BC had just dropped). I was advised many times to roll combat Swords, but I always told them to do one: "rogues roll daggers! You can poke your bloody swords".
After many years of abstinence from wow, my pals talked me into rolling on wow classic so I read up again and all guides. All of the ones I read advised combat Swords for the fast and increased damage. So I relented and went combat swords. In my experience it has been dull as dishwater and IMO I just looked wrong (I looked like a flippin pirate, rather than an assassin that lurks in the shadows).
I respeced to daggers last night and it felt like putting on an old pair of shoes.
Swords might be /possibly faster or easier to level, but it's nowhere near as fun...and that's what this is all about isn't it? I think people can get wrapped up in the numbers, rather than remembering what it's all about - fun. Game time should never be a chore

I remember back in vanilla rolling a pally first.. playing till 34 and then rerolling to rogue and leveling to 34 in a quarter of the time.. the crite are no joke.

besides leveling shockadin form 60-70 in tbc classic, sub dagger leveling a rogue from 1-60 was my 2nd favourite leveling experience

As a sub rogue I would recommend a slow main hand dagger for a bigger ambush and enchant with + weapon damage and use blacksmithing sharpening stones on the main hand and you can one shot mobs 2 levels below you at level 36-40 with the right gear and string remorselessness together. For fun on bigger mobs hit them with ambush drop the dots with rupture hit vanish ambush hit cool down then vanish ambush and they will die....

Is this the same spec you use in end game pvp or do you change it at all?

Never played swords. It just doesn't make sense as a rogue. To be honest, why is mace even a thing? Rogue should've been Daggers > Fists > AXES > Swords.

some people say you shouldnt use hemorrhage in a dagger build as daggers lack the dps for hemo, hemorrhage is mainly used for a stunlock build, whats your take on this? im level 30 about to get the point to put into hemorrhage.

You use a dagger and off hand sword for this spec or double daggers ?

Sub never hangs in instance or raid compared to combat....now as far as survivability yes it does offer that but it’s not the best spec for leveling as far as speed goes. Sub can hang for a little bit in dps and is far better for pvp but it lags in dmg overall for pve.
