I Tried Running INSANE Kipchoge Marathon Pace

You actually cannot comprehend running it until you try it but i'm trying to put it across to you in this video by destroying myself in the name of entertainment.
What Eliud Kipchoge can do is borderline impossible. And that's what makes this challenge so enticing. Just how impossible is it for mere mortals like you or me. And how fast will Kipchoge run at Boston?

I did my first anaerobic session (DSW - Garmin) on Friday and the intervals were 0.40 @3:10/km. I got up to 2:55/km and I was in full sprint mode. I don't know how anyone could do this pace for 2hr! Great effort, Ben!

Any chance of a shoe collection video, with a breakdown on what shoes you use for which training/races and why?

From a parkrun (5k) perspective: At that pace Kipchoge would complete a parkrun in 14.21, which would break most course records, the average finish time is about 32.20 so the majority are not halfway when he would finish. But he does that 8.44 times. It is just amazing, but as he says 'no human is limited', so keep working towards it I guess, it might take me while though 😂 but I'm enjoying the journey 👊🏻

Great effort Ben!…. Being able to actually visualise the top marathon runner’s pace is bonkers!!! I’m glad you did it so we don’t have to!!!

These paces are so interesting. Even when I was a decent runner, these paces would be solid for a 5k and dream level for a 10k. Just imagine a marathon. I’ll say you looked pretty solid at that pace on the treadmill. “Times it by 42” 😂 And I agree with Mary. You did look nice and relaxed on the track for your 1k. 👌 Great work!!!

I'm no where near being able to try that! Thanks for giving it a go! Great filming by Mary!

Its crazy, when you see someone experienced running at 21KM/H on a treadmill it’s doesn’t look fast, it looks like they are slightly above jogging because of the illusion of them being in a fixed position. But in reality they are literally sprinting for their dear lives 😂 it’s absolutely insane how hard it is. Biggest respect to kipchoge

my plan was to make a video for my channel trying the very same thing. I have quickly realized I can't get up to that pace let alone hold it 😂

Just ridiculous pace - think I'd end up flying off the treadmill giving this a go!

I achieved a marathon PB yesterday at Canberra (Australia), of 2:48:23, beating my old PB by 2mins and that was with a strong wind and rain.

I've done the kipchoge treadmill challenge before and only lasted about 2 minutes before I was exhausted. He's inhuman.

"I've made a mistake...I've made a big mistake" I think we've all said this during a run 🤣
