So if cracking sound is shockwave caused by collapsing of cavitation bubble then maybe... it could be used to detect joint anomalies? Abnormal synovial fluid chemical composition that affects viscosity / vapour pressure should give different cracking pitch.

I'll record cracking of all my joints, wait till I'm old and crack again to compare sounds. Be right back in 40 years... :)

I’ve been cracking the bone that is the 2nd closest knuckle I think to the finger tip and my fingers have started to bent
