Harvesting Honey From natural honeycomb,,, The wild honey bee hive was in very difficult place therefore I used my hand to harvest the honey. Honey of red dwarf honey bee (apis florea) Is considered to be the best and is used for medicinal purposes.

I just found a honey hive in my garden. I thought at first glance it was only dead leaves caught up in my trees.

A week later it has tripled in size. I realized after seeing bees in my sweet melon patch that the dead leaves is actually a hive.

It doesn't look anything like yours. It still looks like dead leaves, only forming into a large cone shape.

I will wait a year before I attempt to harvest the honey. Do I just break pieces off the hive like you did? I'm afraid they will abandon it.

Any suggestions?
