Finally! Lots to recover from, and it won’t be easy. 20 year Chrysler engineer here, that left in 2008. Just had a get together w/former Chrysler colleagues, and found out that those 400 powertrain calibrators/sw engineers that were fired several months ago on a Friday, were told that they could come back on Monday as contractors @ a 30% pay cut. Just despicable behavior. What a terrible company they’ve become.

When The CEO does not understand nor care about the product, the only way they can increase profitability is by cost cutting. Eventually this hurts the company's profit because quality dropped so much the product does not sell.

When the CEO cares about the product, they increase the quality which increases sales and increases profit.

This is the problem with companies being led by people with lots of degrees in business and economics, and zero understanding of human nature. Human nature is people do not like junk, and they never take that into consideration.

It’s amazing how much damage one man can create.

Doesnt matter. Until thr board of directors agree that all US products prices need to be lowered by minimum 30% the stuff will continue to rot on dealer lots. They must price vehicles back into the middle class budgets. Its the only way to turn it around

Reminds me of the CEO of Spirit Airlines that received a bonus of millions, days before they filed for bankruptcy!
According to an SEC filing, Spirit Airlines, Inc. (OTC:SAVEQ) CEO Ted Christie was paid a $3.8 million retention bonus just one week before the budget airline filed for bankruptcy

Early Christmas Present. Merry Christmas to all.

The board was complicit in the madness so I don’t expect them to pick any better for the health of the company. Carlos isn’t the only fool at Stellantis. It’s quite apparent being how they allowed him to break everything all at once.

Captain of the Titanic abandoning ship after he ran it into an economic iceberg. I'm sure his lifeboat is a yacht. There's no salvaging what's left of Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, & Ram IMO.

Let's just hope someone who is a real American will be the new CEO and no one else for Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler.

Stellantis is 1 problem. But look at all of the people who bought Chrysler products over the last 4 years, they are buried in debt because they way overpaid.
