I have a great idea. Boost prices high and keep production high. What could go wrong?

Stellantis purchase of Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is one of the worst things ever for the automotive industry.
Prices went up and quality went down.
They also changed the entire culture of the Mopar community going forward.
Hopefully, we can find someone who understands the American automotive consumer and bring back what made them profitable.
They could start with rehiring Tim Kuniskis to run things!!!!

They're charging $100k for a jeep. You have to be out of your mind to spend that kind of money on a piece of junk.

Dealers are part of the problem as well; Even if car prices go down and demand increases, they will do markups and market adjustments

It's Amazing that a company that raised prices 50-60% had sales plummet. It's pretty clear now that they have so much inventory sitting on lots that no one wants to buy their new garbage.

A Big part of the problem in automotive manufacturing is the Government. and the huge burden they place on ICE cars and trucks.like emissions and fuel mileage requirements standards

The price of new cars is absolutely insane and prices will increase given the UAW’s successes with new labor contracts. The average is $48, 400 and a Jeep Wrangler is $55, 000 and can be as much as $101, 900. I’d love to have a Wrangler, the cost is insane and most new vehicles have an Inline 4 under the hood. 4 cylinder engines simply don’t last and add in a turbo and the repairs are costly. An EV is even more $53, 400. A $50, 000 car (EV or ICE) with 10% down financed at 6% over 48 months will run you $1, 045 a month. Now extend that to 7 years, it’ll run you $650 a month. Plus you’ll likely be underwater the whole time. As depreciation, especially with an EV is ridiculous.

Now add in increased wages for UAW workers and escalate all of the above. Plus once Chinese car arrive in the America, tariffs or not. The Big 3, may be gone forever.

The man taking over for him needs to drop MSRP by 50% on 2025 models, 60% on 2024, and 70% on 2023 models left over to get sales moving. I do not even see that working for awhile people are broke and your asking them to pay what a small house would cost for a Car or Truck! Hold your ground folks make them suffer for their arrogance. Drive your old vehicles and fix them when they break. Make them drop the prices back down to where the poor and middle class have options since right now there are few options out there. Believe it or not they still have a few 2022 models on lots it is that bad folks:P Buddy of mine just purchased a brand new 2022 Ram truck that is about 3 years old now rediculous!

It was his choice to either resign or get fired 😳 Stellantis is a horrible company. Up and down the entire operations and sales. It's embarrassing.
