With these prices going up, I might have to go sail the 7 seas of piracy.

This is a direct result of shows like acolyte costing 180million, somebody has to pay for it, it's a good job that everybody just freakin loved it !

DISNEY+ was 7 DOLLARS!! in canada at the start of 2023. it is now 22.99. THIS IS UNAFFORDABLE AND THE SHOWS KEEP GETTING WORSE

Disney need to raise the prices to pay RDJ.

This will, along with any subscription price increase, drive more and more people to the high seas for entertainment.

I just switched to the Disney/Max/Hulu bundle. I still can't get used to commercials though. But 16.99 was irresistible compared to individual prices

I have been cancelled my Disney Plus subscription. Companies wonder why ppl revert to piracy

There's just not enough new content on disney to watch to justify 15.99 a month im sorry. They have a new movie every 6 months .

And this is why physical media will win, no added cost once you buy the DVD or Blu-Ray, especially when they have added adverts, they will lose subscribers if they keep putting cost up

All while we freind-zoned physical media smh

They finally broke me last month. I had already cancelled my MAX and Netflix subscriptions months ago, but had to choose between keeping Disney or Amazon and YouTube last paycheck...Disney got the boot.

Aside from money, I just don't have time to sit through ads. I work all the time and my free time is so precious. I feel like I pay more than enough in subscription fees to actually watch the content I subscribe for rather than tons of commercials. At least in the satellite TV days you could record and fast-forward through commercials to watch stuff faster. Now you can't even do that. I am 100% done with streaming until they lower these prices, guarantee no hikes for reasonably substantial amounts of time, and make ads skippable again.

If they made it cheaper rather than more expensive, they would probably gain more subscribers at the cheaper price. Everyone got greedy for the Netflix success blinded them to the loss's in theatres, and physical media sales. They would suffer if everyone had a streaming service. Reminds me of the early days of cable without commercials and now a few monopolies control all the cable options.

Hulu usually has Black Friday deals. Other streaming services such as Max & Peacock also have Black Friday deals. It is best to rotate streaming services every couple of months.

Surprise surprise... Speak with your wallet. If you continue to pay they'll continue to raise the price.

I just wanted to say, piracy is not stealing. If I download an episode of GOT, I did not steal that episode from Disney. It's not the same as hacking into their servers and downloading an as of yet unreleased episode or movie. Sorry, but not the same thing. I really don't think you understand the difference when something is digital, not the same as something that is physical. It's just not.

They expect people not to churn. Really. If they keep raising prices. People will keep unsubscribe

I let Disney+ go back in Oct-Nov. There's been no reason to go back. 😅

It feels like a scam. They want more money while releasing shows like "The Acolyte" and "Secret Wars". Why would I feel like this is worth paying more for it?!
