I wonder when Disney will start listening to the consumers, rather than what the board wants to push. Consumers and Disney fanatics don't want these projects such as the new Snow White movie, Polynesian DVC, etc. They want to enjoy the parks and resorts with their families at an affordable price.

This is exactly why my family switched to Universal Studios a few years ago (once Disney eliminated many perks for resort guests). We are more relaxed on our vacations now and don't have to be tied to our phones the whole day. We feel like it is much better value for our money. It will be interesting to see how Universal changes once Epic Universe opens (hopefully they will not be more like Disney).

There's something terribly wrong when 1 night at a Disney hotel is the same as my mortgage and a 4 day ticket with no hopper is the same as a 10 day park hopper and more from just a few years ago. What a shame. I'm priced out. We may still come to Orlando because the airbnb is reasonable there, but the Disney bubble has popped.

Absolutely OUTRAGEOUS. I know people will treat this as a bucket list trip, but I really think people are going to choose different destinations

Even as a veteran who can buy the discount tickets and stay at shades of Green idk how people can afford Disney

Disney's greed has been on display for a long time, but this is next level. Blatant price gouging in a recession, immediately post-pandemic, is abhorent. I've never gotten to go to Disney World (only Disneyland in CA) and at this rate I'll never be able to justify a trip to Florida. Why would anyone want to support a company like this?
EDIT: Thank you for actually speaking up though. This channel has a significant voice on the platform, I'm glad you're using it for good.

I used to sell tickets at WDW 2001-2003. One day pass was $50.88 including tax - 1 park per day. Park hoppers were $191 for a 4 day. Now a single day park hopper is the same as a 4 day was. Quadruple the cost just 20 years later. And I’d argue the parks aren’t 4x better than they were. In fact, I’d argue the opposite. So disappointing.

As long as people just keep paying, Disney will keep this up. It’s not enough to just end parking fees or remove park reservations.

Went in 2019 not knowing how drastically everything would change. At least we had one last hurrah.

Don't forget that Genie+ means you have to be on your phone all day trying to get LLs. It can really ruin the feel of a fun day at the parks.

I'm really grateful to the DFBGuide folks for all their hard work and dedication to getting the info out to us regular folks... Unfortunately, the more of the videos I watch, the less likely a return to Disney World becomes. (Last there in the 1980s.) One of the things is that when my family vacations, it's usually an attempt to get away from managing details stacked upon details, and both the planning and actual experience of a Disney vacation are requiring more & more actual work. (Don't get me started on the cost!) I keep hoping, but that long-planned DW return is sliding steadily farther & farther down my bucket list. :-(

Been going since 40+ years. Use to be a fun relaxing vacation. Able to preplan, didnt need phones, had fast passes and dining reservations. Easy Peazy. Good food and merch but typically higher Disney prices. Went every 18-24 months. No hotel reservations walked in got AAA discount 69.00 at PO.
All that changes. Prices out of control, quality down, catering to upper class money. As DVC and AP we go 2-3 times a year but no longer buy merch, share meals, don't buy Genie, enjoy the pools more but still go to parks but don't do long lines. If we cantdo a ride because long waits, we'll do it next time. Normally spend around 100.00 a day or less. We love going and as prices go up we just compensate by being more careful what we spend it on.

Thanks for being up-front about the ever-skyrocketing expense of going to WDW. I think leading off with park tickets and hotels would have gotten to the point far faster, though. The return of the dining plan is interesting, but everything else amounts to trying to control the smaller expenses around the edges that mount up. How am I going to plan my next big vacation? By going on a cruise for the first time ever -- and not a Disney cruise. Then probably a week in Italy the following year, and another trip to Hawaii after that. I may not go back to WDW until I have grandkids.

Not for me. I dropped that habit 4 years ago. If your vacation is 3-6 months of a mortgage payment, they can keep it.

It’s a NO for us on the dining plan. It’s just a way for Disney to charge you more and act like it’s some kind of deal. It’s also a NO on all the overpriced and overhyped merchandise. We don’t need all that junk.

My family is lucky enough to have been to the parks 3 times and on the cruises twice which is more than most families have a chance to do in their lifetime. Disney has finally priced us out, even with taking advantage of DFB tips and tricks. I don't anticipate going back even though we have always had the best time

I had park seasonal passes for 30 years and have not been to the parks since 2018. Sadly after seeing all the new rules and changes implemented in the last 3 years combined with the increased cost I will probably never go again. It truly does feel like something has died that I will truly miss. If you never went before 2020 you wouldn’t even know what you see missing.

I love Disney, but they are doing their best to price out more people every year.

I wonder when people will start holding back to force them to start lowering their prices. And how, in this economy, are people affording to even go anymore?
