DiCaprio does a few types of characters really well but I could never see him pulling this role off. I feel like Bale has shown he can handle a much more extensive breath of characters.

Leo is a solid actor but Bale pulled it off better than Leo would have.

So gross how jonah hill took basic actor salery 60, 000 in wolf of wallstreet just so leo can get paid the demanded amount 25 million. Jonah tried to say he only wanted to work with Scorsese but Leo is all about getting paid

Well, they got more for their money clearly Christian Bale blew DiCaprio away. Also I feel like he had too much of a baby face for the role especially after watching catch me if you can at the time. Bale was more seasoned for his age at the time of this role and pulls off this role brilliantly.
