On this page 8 of my diary series, we're talking about Bangkok. I quickly fell in love with Bangkok on my first visit there back in Oct 2023 to do a visa run. The trip was quickly and I didn't come into it with a vacation or traveling mindset. I just wanted to be done with it quickly so I can come back to Vietnam with a new visa. However, the moment I landed in Bangkok, the city just drew me in with its beautiful chaotic vibe. I spent my entire first day there just walking around, taking a look at the city, the traffic, the restaurant, the small shops and its people and at that moment I understood why so many people love travelling to Bangkok. I love how vertical the city feels. Between the high rises, and the elevated train tracks you will find yourself constantly looking up while walking around Bangkok. The distance between the street, and the train track are quite high however, so you don't feel claustrophobic like here in Chicago. Traffic moves fast, but the people here are so kind and polite. As much as I love the chaotic environment of Bangkok in the morning, Bangkok really wakes up at night. The city is filled with colorful neon signs, and streetlight and just about anywhere you look. there's a very vibrant gritty scene waiting for you. As a cinematographer, I couldn't help but stop every few steps to take photos and video of all the colors that Bangkok has at night.
Last but not least, thank you team Bearbrickbtws for tagging along with me on my last day there. They really showed me around and I think my trip wouldn't have been as memorable without them.
I really wanted to do a voice over for this page, however I ran into a few problem, and ultimately I couldn't over come the annoyance I have for my own voice so this page will have to be this way. I hope you continue to enjoy these regardless and I'll see you on the next one.
