I help serve food and what ever else is needed at funerals hosted by my church and the things I've you for doing both videos because a lot of people seem to forget that the day is not about them and is about celebrating/honoring the person that has passed on. I do love when families do a theme. I've seen it all red lipstick, all purple, all white, sunglasses on which have all been things that were done with the loved one in mind. However, I seen a lot of booty out dresses, chest out dresses, men in deep v necks with lots of chains, and so on and I just think maybe nobody has taught them appropriate attire.

Thank you for doing this video. I just purchased 2 black dresses this morning. One for a winter funeral and one for a spring/summer one. And I definitely donated the outfit I wore to my grandfather’s funeral. I never wanted to wear it again because like you said it would’ve forever reminded me of that day

My best funeral outfit was an AMAZING vintage Thierry Mugler blazer that I wore with some flared pants and a flat boot. The blazer was very fitted at all but it was in honor of my grandmother who definitely would've appreciated it. And the structure of the blazer held me up the way I needed since it was such an emotional day

Love your content❤️, I follow you on here, IG & TT. I completely agree with shopping your closet 1st. I practiced this recently and also last summer. But I will say, the dress I wore for the summer I find myself not wanting to wear it because I feel like it's attached to that person/funeral in a way. I'm on the fence of keeping it. Only because that was my 1st time wearing it & it fit the theme (color) we were asked to wear.

Like your options alot we always were a black dress with long sleeves that comes at least past the knees I used to own a couple options I hated need to shop for funeral attire now before I need it so I don't end up with uncomfortable things again cause who is into shopping in that time. We also have many days involved

Unfortunately, I am attending a funeral for a special loved one this week, and yes it’s going to be very cold from where I live. Thanks so much for the video. I love those black shiny pants... the only thing is I always think about is how loud pants are. Like literally how loud the sound they make is... I want to find some pants similar to that, but I need them not to make any sound.. I get self-conscious about it. Just me??
