Should you buy the DJI Air 2s in 2023

The DJI Air 2s was very popular when released back in 2021 however with the release of the new Mavic Pro 3 and the DJI Mini 3, does it still makes sense to go for the DJI Air 2s in 2023?

I’ve had my Air 2S since they came out in 2021. This year, instead of upgrading the drone, I upgraded the controller to the RC Pro controller. It’s a better upgrade than getting a newer drone. The screen is super bright and it never dims, the drone has a better signal, you can record what your screen sees with audio, (if you hook up a mic), and you don’t need your phone to fly it. It, s not cheap, but neither is a new drone.

I also feel that the Air 2S is the perfect drone. DJI just needs to do a proper firmware update to include all the latest features and nice to haves.

I’ve had my Air2S for about 18 months, my first drone. I’ve only just lately started to trust the features like active track and collision avoidance, and wow. They are game changers, I was tracking my Jeep on an off-road track, on the playback I was amazed how many times it negotiated avoiding trees.
Great drone, I am hoping DJI do a firmware upgrade so I can get some FPV goggles for it like they have done for the mini 3 pro.

An artist - economically - practical focused channel? I like that! New subscriber here and I won't let go! 15 years before, I was looking into this drone-thing but at that time, the technology was not ready for my work. Now it is? Playing around with a DJI Mini 2S and a Air 2S. As a photographer who is working my way into the drone arearea, I really miss content like this.

It's a great drone. I own the dji fpv / mini 2 and this air 2s . I still believe the best all round drone is the mini 2 .

I have had an SE, then a Mini 2 and Mini 3 Pro and just traded the Mini 2 for an Air2s. Very pleased indeed. Both meet ALL my needs both privately and commercially.

I was thinking of the Air 2s, but went with Mini 3 Pro (just sold my air 2 a couple of days ago and bought the mini 3 pro today)
I fell in love with it when I got it for testing (for content)
I've just done the same style of a video for many of DJI drones, but not Air 2s. Never had it, or even used it, but seems like an amazing option.

It definitely makes sense to get an AIR 2S, as you very well pointed out. It was my main flying horse for 1.5 years. My only complaint was getting critical battery too often. I almost lost it a couple of times, but it is so robust, it always survived even after it landed on shallow river waters because of a critical battery. I'm subbing. Greetings from Montreal, Canada.

One thing you didn't mention is this drone has an ADS-B receiver that detects close aircrafts and that is so awesome. you can bring your drone down if it detects an aircraft

I have to agree agree with you on all you say about the A2S, I use a couple of other drone just like you, but the A2S gives me the biggest smile. I think it’s just the overall package. Thanks for putting the video together. 👍

I agree, with everything you have presented, including the struggle. I have an m3p and know how to use it. I just determined, after extensive and exhaustive investigation, that the air 2s is my best option for a 2 camera aerial rig...ya, I'm a complete geek but not in a gas guy way.

Nice video, informative. I am using a Dji Mini 2 drone, looking for an upgrade. seems air s as a good option.
