Welding Holes In Sheet Metal with Flux Core

Flux core welding massive holes in our BMW e30 project car with the Eastwood MP140i. So far flux core welding auto body sheet metal works and NO there isn’t porosity. Flux can be an easy and low cost way to start DIY auto body welding.

Use copper behind the hole and pulse weld.

Im tryna do the same on a motorcycle pipe but flux core doesnt weld on it, i cleaned it really well and still idk what im doing wrong, tried multiple amps

I would use a tig on that and definitely wouldn't use flux

I’d use stick welder with filler rod but that’s just me😂
