Actors Nathan Lane and John Goodman visit TODAY to discuss their roles in a new revival of the groundbreaking Broadway play “The Front Page,” which originally debuted in 1928. Goodman said the once-controversial comedy has held up all these years because it’s so well-constructed; Lane admits he still gets jitters before a performance and jokes that his solution is “prescription drugs.”

Saw it tonight. Great show. As I was walking out of the theater, I noticed Chris Rock was walking right behind me.

Can't say I'm a fan of the whole celebrity taking jobs from real actors trend on Broadway as they eat their own legacy by rehashing again & again & again old brands, musical (mainly) and otherwise. But I might have to make an exception in this case.

Figures that the washed-up Matt Lauer would be in this video.  TFP on Broadway served only ONE purpose: to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon (in the film version) are irreplaceable.  What a massive bore this production was on January 28, 2017 (closing night).  If Nathan Lane was a newspaper editor in the 1920's, I'm George Washington.  Since when did a Chicago mayor in the 1920s look like Daddy Warbucks in "Annie"?!  A Chicago sheriff with a Texas accent?!  Whose idea was it to invent a completely new character, a rambling, nonsensical "Chicago policeman" who stopped the show each time he walked out on the stage, faster than the dim-witted Kevin Eubanks could do it on Jay Leno's Tonight Show? And why was the Broadhurst Theatre a FILTHY, disgusting wreck?!  I've seen better SUMMER STOCK. This show wasn't even good enough for the Ogunquit Playhouse in Maine.
