I can't help but keep marveling at how she constantly seems to get "inside of a song, " identifying with it as if it were autobiographical, something she herself could have written about herself. Her phrasing, her subtle body movements, and, of course, her voice -- what a voice! -- all contribute to her performance, in a way that is not seen all that often in today's musical scene. She is timeless!

Met her in person by accident. So glad I say hello to her in person and my exact words to her. "Hey Fiona, I told myself if I didn't say hello to you, I'll kick my own ass, hello." She laughed and say hello back. Love the new album Miss Fiona.

The whole world changed after you sang that song out loud! I can see you feel it at the end. Absolutely beautiful perfection.

Fiona, I've been listening to you for so long. In that unknown parts of life. I've listening to you and loving everybits of it. As we grow old and learn. I am still listening to you.

With those same vibrations that i felt 20 years ago. Those first times your songs touched my soul. And made it grow. When i was young and beautiful, fresh as a rose.

You are part of my musical heart. I go through heatlh struggle, i lose some and win most. But everytime i feel myself coming back to life, I come back to you first. I get some Fiona in my ears and i feel alive again. I feel life rushing tbrough my blood. Merci.

Thank you for that feeling of being alive. I know that life has struggles for each one of us. I know you have yours. I wish you the best. Always.

As time goes, so we grow and become more than we were. If we choose to do so...

I like growing life with you in my ears, nourrishing my heart. Merci.

Thank you for sharing those bits of pieces of heart and soul flowing though your voice and song. Merci.

Avec toute mon affection. Sincèrement. Que le meilleur soit pour toi. Merci.

I had never heard Fiona Apple before and I am a life-long music lover but mostly in the jazz idiom. I stumbled onto this video because I knew of this tune. When I saw this performance and heard her sing I was stunned. What a vocalist, what a voice, what a style - what everything - Why hasn't this young lady become well known? I have heard so many popular music singers on TV and radio but most are NOT Ms. Apple's equal. What a shame (for me) that so many years have gone by without my being aware of her. My great loss!

She brings this from a place most singers will never even dream about.

She'll always have a good size following. She's still around for about 25 years, not many can say that. Good to go!

Such a classic aspect to her performances; also, channeling a bit of Billie Holiday here, but still very Fiona.

This is one of my favorite performances that I have ever seen. The intimacy and soul I feel for this puts tears in my eyes. I will never get tired of this..

'Cy Coleman was a composer of So many Fabulous songs, this being One! & "Witchcraft" in 56-57 with lyricist Carolyn Leigh complimented by Sinatra W/Nelson Riddle in His Orchestra at Capitol Records in May of '57 in My grandparents' old neighborhood...
