How to Fix Get the newer version of Windows to stay up to date error on Windows 11 / 10

Thanks I have a Surface Pro but it had W11 already and had the error to update. The first method of trouble shooter did not work.
Windows Cleaner did NOT work for me
If the manual update option from Windows is selected, can you just select the latest update from the list at the top or should you for prior one, then the latest. Eg if we have X1 and X2 where X1 is the first update and X2 is the newer update, can you just install X2 as it will have bit of X1 or should you install X1 then X2
