Ugh Samurai Champloo's soundtrack is a big mess scattered all over YouTube. Somebody needs to gather all these gems in a single playlist without any deleted or blocked in country videos. Anyway, I am still happy I found this.

It's finally my turn to post one of those emotional reminiscence comments you only find under music vids.

God damn, this song takes me back to my social service time. I listened to Nujabes on my way from house to house and occasionaly during shopping or cleaning when I wasn't chatting with my clients. I also had quite a bit going on in terms of competition and private life. Good in terms of a girl I had a major crush on. I confessed to her in the same year but things didn't develop that well - mostly due to me being helplessly overwhelmed by concerns regarding my future and family that she kinda got in the middle of. I treated her very poorly in the end. I have few regrets in my life but she will probably remain my biggest one. Things couldn't have went otherwise and are beyond fixing but I still miss her from time to time.
Also had my biggest tournament success in a game I was obsessing over at the time.
Bad in the sense of the loss of a close family member and being in some sort of limbo for my future. Also the loss of said girl weighed heavy on me in the following months. I could at least resolve the career thing, though.

It was a difficult, but rewarding time and - dare I say it - probably the best time of my life so far despite the fact that I got the degree I always wanted with the results I always hoped for this year. Probably one of the reasons I still love Nujabes as much as the first time I stumbled upon him when a YTer used his tracks for his vids. His music lets me relive a bit of the bittersweet charm (while still being the most chill shit ever made).
