Listening to this after the end of a 3 year long relationship. She fell in love with another man and ended up leaving me for him, and to make matters worse, I was already dealing with severe depression. This was only yesterday, but I’ve decided that I am tired of crying and feeling empty. Ok, hear me out
I randomly came across the album "Classical Current" and I discovered that one of the pieces, "The Lamp is Low", is actually the one sampled and used here, but it doesn't stop here, since I also discovered that "The Lamp is Low" itself took its melody from Ravel's "Pavane pour une infante défunte"
So, this is literally more than 100 years of music combined
It's a bit random, but I thought I'd share it because I found it really beautiful

On the last video, the person mentioned how on the origonal video there was this comment that he always remembered, but the video was deleted, and now.. well here we are again. The story is:

The guy who commented would go on drives with his brother who would always play this song, but never asked the name because he didn't want to disrupt his brothers focus on the road. Later, his brother passed away, and one day he found this song on youtube and commented about how happy it made him to be reunited with it, and that it was like being with his brother again

Back in college I had a radio show called “City Sounds” and this song was the intro song to the show. I would talk about every genere of rock, hip-hop and anything in between. I didn’t had a really big audience but for 1 hour I would be in total musical bliss.
