People calling me fake and not a real mechanic because I refuse to over some on snap on tools! Have a look at the variety of tools at my disposal. From Hart, Icon, Neiko, snap on, and Matco. Yeah I don’t know what I’m doing!

You’re making the loot. Everyone hating may as well be on mute.

You're fine. No explanation needed. Cheaper options are sometimes better or just fine. People get that badge head is all NBD.

Don't listen to the haters man. The people who make weekly payments on tools for years to come want to justify thier unnecessary expenses however they can.

It's what's between your ears that makes you a real mechanic

I have the older Stanley version. I have used it over 10 years now, mainly on aircraft sparkplugs of which there are 2 per cylinder and they need servicing often.

I have Snap-on ratchets, because they were gifts, but my main ratchet is a gear wrench and I love it

Much respect for this video it's not the tool brand it's the mechanic

Brother it kills people that you don't need Snap On, it's a choice not a necessity
The quality of pliers are more important than the quality of Ratchets & sockets these days

I have a lot of expensive snap on tools but I only buy them cause they look and feel better, I’ve had very good experiences with all my hart, harbor freight and home improvement store tools. I don’t lie to myself and say snap on is better then everything and that’s why I buy it, I just like the feel of more expensive tools.

I've found over the past 25yrs of wrenching, that the larger the drive size, the less important the brand becomes. I have several 1/4", 3/8, and a few 1/2" drive ratchets in snap on, because they're my favorite and the highest quality in my opinion. Most of the 1/2", and anything larger than that are all off brand, and none of them ever break during normal use.

I got a Pittsburgh extending ratchet that I like to use for jobs where I don’t care if it gets dirty.

It’s not the magic wand it’s the magician. I’m sure your customers don’t give a flying rats behind about what kind of tool you use as long as you get their car back on the road and doing the work properly and as quickly as possible at a fair price.

A "real" mechanic gets the job done right, no matter what brand of tools. And ppl wouldn't even know what brand you use if you didn't tell them. 🤷🏽‍♂️
Keep on keeping on!
