One of the most common questions I get asked about private labeling on Amazon is first how to check if a product is patented or trademarked. Inside this video I showed you exactly how I check and how you should too.

The very first thing that I do when looking to see if a product has a patent on it is to go to Google Patents and look there. Sometimes I can figure out very quickly whether an item is patented and other times it takes a while.

One thing I want you to understand is that Amazon FBA product research is one of the most important things you will do in your business. If you choose the wrong product to start your Amazon FBA business with, then you will be fighting an uphill battle the entire way.

What is the difference between patent and trademark? I had purchased pens to sell in my shop an a store approached me telling me I could not sell them because they had trademarked part of the design on the pen.

Thanks for the video. Could I purchase sweaters and shirts from Alibaba and place my logo on it without worrying about it being sued, or do I have to us this method before purchase?

I don't see why it matters. I see Chinese game systems listed with hundreds or ripped off Roms and they do nothing.

I've seen people sell counterfeit software and all they do is relist under another name.

Worst case scenario on these random trinkets is you get a c&d letter and delisted.
