If you’re seated keep those seat belts on, even if it’s loose.

I was flying to Vegas recently. I got up to go to the bathroom when the fasten seatbelt light came on. I was stuck in the bathroom. Very intense ride. Always fasten your seatbelt folks. You never know what's ahead of you.

One death is sad and great loss for the family but praise to the pilots who managed the plane and saved all other passengers.

Sometimes, nervousness will kill you first.

“Halfway through” Wrong. It was actually close to the end of its journey when the incident occurred.

That why I keep my seatbelt on even when the light is off

Someone probably said "don't worry it's just common turbulence" if someone ever tells me that again I won't believe them.

I have not flown in several years, but it was obvious to me that turbulence had increased dramatically from the earlier flights (first time in August 1970). The last several times I flew, it was like being on a farm wagon going over a freshly-plowed field. Rough the entire flight. More than once, I was tempted to kiss the tarmac when we reached our destination. Used to love flying, now I dread it.

If all the security procedures & prohibited items was a headache, wait'll liability issues require everyone to be strapped to their seats whenever not on a requested restroom visit. You know it's coming & they'll have plenty of duct tape to, well, "protect" the resistant.

This is exactly why they say, please keep your seat belt fasten... even when the seat belt sign is off.

I was in a turbulence so bad once, that the plane literally drop and one guy didn't lock up and hit the ceiling. I don't know what he was doing, but I saw him smash the ceiling head first. I'm thinking that's what happened to this (unalived) guy.

Interesting. Komo news said 12 were dead and a couple people were injured.

It's mind-boggling how commercial flying has become hazardous to one's health & well-being in so many ways over the years. ✈️ 🛩
