This wasn't built yesterday. It's built on sand, on an eroding beach front. Plus, concrete degrades over time with exposure to salt. Enough said.

Just want to remind everyone that every republican is voting against the infrastructure bill.

Inspector was there yesterday. He or she should have red tagged the building.

Don’t buy real estate in Florida south of the line between Boca Rotan and Naples. It could be underwater or collapse like this building sooner than you think.

It looks like there isn't much rebar in the concrete. Lots of questions to answer and jail time for those held accountable

Prayers go out to all of those affected by the building collapse.

DeSenseless being more more focused on “CRT” rather than his state’s infrastructure and safety says all about his incompetence. Vote him OUT next year FL!

This is so sad. That lady sounds nervous and saying that people have to be careful in the sister buildings to me is unacceptable. They need to make sure these buildings get inspected and they have regulations they need to have followed in order to prevent this from happening again. Be careful does not give a piece of mind. It makes it seem as if they won't do anything to make sure people living in the sister buildings are living in a safe building. Very unacceptable.

Get used to this people, concrete and steel bridges, roads and buildings have a finite life. And GOP GREED will keep them from being inspected...

if the inspector's still in the state, I'd be surprised

General contractor probably tried to save money by cutting corners on lightweight concrete.

Shocking that a building constructed by cocaine money in a State with very little regulation would collapse

Courtesy of GOP deregulation and cost cutting measures.

Everyone and anyone involved with the construction of that building needs to be investigated.
And any projects they were part off needs to be checked.
That is some shoddy work there.

I heard the solution is less education. The future will be 'brighter' without all of those pesky safety regulators, architects, emergency response personnel, city planners, ...
