About expensive housing: I like Park City UT, but yes, the prices of homes there are just "a tad" (!) high for my budget. However, it's the same story for similar towns/cities in Colorado...especially the ski resort towns there (Breckenridge, Steamboat Springs, Vail, Aspen, Crested Butte, etc.)..but the scenery in all those places is outstandingly beautiful!

We’ve lived here 2.5 years and I feel that I’ll never get used to the grid system.

I miss happy hour, but many restaurant bars have inexpensive mimosas and bloody Mary’s all day long. I also dislike the state liquor stores. Selection is very limited and there is an 88% tax. I miss the big box wine stores. That being said I pretty much love living in Utah even though I somewhat protested the move. Mostly because there are giant brightly lit temples everywhere you look and the people here are known for being judgy. I just don’t associate with judgy people though and it’s been no problem. Overall I have to say the people are pleasant and more polite than in other states I have lived.

Where would you recommend in the area for a new college grad? I was looking around central city but was told the city can be ehh. Park city was recommended but that’s a bit pricey lol. Would like to stick to around a 1500-1800$ range if that’s possible

Disappointing about high housing prices, but are there reasonable rents? I am visiting soon on a research trip, but I'm frustrated with everywhere I go see. Fifth generation from WLA, but Too cold in Wi and too expensive in WLA.
