Great video on explaining the different types of telescopes and eyepieces. Very helpful in helping you choose a beginner telescope.

Thanks for the video. Glad you pointed out the educational scopes. I was unaware of these. I agree with you that it's a good idea to learn about all the components. I'm hoping to find a scope that's a little bit of a challenge but not so much that it's frustrating, But of course when you have to work a little to get something focused in, hopefully it will feel like a rewarding payoff.

Well made video, too bad it's crap info. 'Scopes are refractors (lens 'scopes) that divide into achromatic (basic ones with apparent chromatic aberration), EDs and APOs; reflectors (mirror scopes) that divide into Newtonians (basic mirror scopes with cheap large mirrors), Mak-s (Maksutov's scopes with correcting lens and mirror) and SCTs (Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescopes). There are also certain variations of these. Usually it boils down to choosing a refractor, Newtonian reflector or a Mak/SCT.

Thanks
Are there any maintenance issues with reflectors . My budget is 150-200$ could you suggest any scope or can you tell me which are specific things to look in my price bracket.

You paid $250 for a 50mm refractor with a single element objective?

Good luck at the department store? He sort of sabotaged the whole point of the video by signing off with that.
