There is nothing classier than the Apple Watch Stainless Steel in gold. I just love the finish, the feel, and the shine. Perfect for a luxury session at the gym, and daily dazzle. I had the ultra, and it feels cool for days! but when I put the gold stainless steel... that one gets my heart pumping with its perfect size and beauty.

I chose the ss series 8 over the ultra. I just don’t like the look of it for everyday. I see the watch “dressed up” and it still looks like a sports watch to me. I couldn’t do it.

I purchased the Ultra and I have to say that I am extremely happy with it. I love the look and I love the long battery life. I’m not into extreme sports per say. But I do run about 5 days a week and lift weights. And knowing that I’m not going to run out of battery life by 8 or 8:30 PM is a relief.

The battery life is put into perspective with twice the charging time. I have integrated my "normal" watch perfectly into my routine. I get up at 6.30 a.m., do 45 minutes of workout, then the clock goes to the charging station and I take a shower. After shaving, getting dressed and having breakfast, the Watch is put back on the wrist and lasts until after sport the following day. I would feel the same way about the Ultra, because it would only be half full in that time and not fully charged like the 8, for example.
Apart from the fact that no matter which watch you choose, it will be recyclable electronic waste after 4-max 5 years, the 8 simply looks 100 times better and is also the perfect all-rounder for pretty much every situation. And when it comes to sleep tracking, it's an inconspicuous, flat featherweight on the wrist.

I’ve had a series 4 in stainless steel, absolutely beautiful and scratch free display, the casing not so much. It had so many scratches and deep grooves that it really looked bad after some time.
I would love to get a smaller titanium watch but since that’s not possible I am going for the ultra.

I went from. 41 series 4 to a 45 series 8..I absolutely love it! I use it for workouts (I work out 5-6 days a week) texting, phone calls, alarms, timers… oh, and telling time. I just can’t justify spending more than what I need…

I bought 2 series 7 Titanium Refurbs for less than the price of the ultra! I never have a battery issue. I switch watches every morning!

I have had every Apple Watch from beginning so upgraded my series 7 to a series 8. I looked at Ultra but release date was later and then shipping dates were months out. Was happy with the 8 as I have been with each one I have had. About a month ago was on Best Buy’s website and it showed that I could get it in two days and Apple site was a month out. I thought that I would go ahead and order and try it. Since I have gone back and forth but lately worn Ultra most all the time. Today I put the 8 back on and wore it around house for about an hour. Went back in bedroom and got Ultra after that. No way I can go back. Thought might keep 8 to wear at different times but nope I think I will sell it because if went out with it on and left house would miss Ultra. In beginning thought Ultra was little big but not anymore and actually think 8 feels a little small on and that’s strange since wore that version which is aluminum since begging except for the 3 or 4 when got stainless which always felt heavy on my wrists which are not big. I don’t think the Ultra is too heavy and doesn’t feel much heavier than the series 8 aluminum. The Ultra is definitely something I would recommend.

For aesthetics, design and elegance, I prefer to stay with the design of the 7/8 series, than with the ultra, a smartwatch that, in my humble opinion, is great in all aspects except design. Yes, it has less battery and screen but I can t imagine wearing the ultra at lunch or dinner dressed for the occasion, while with the 7/8 series you can perfectly wear it because of its elegant lines.

Glad there is a review for ulta vs apple 8 stainless!!! Im convinced Id go with Series 8 stainless! Not a sporty girl and would like a better looking watch than bulky one!

The ultra is better because of the battery life brighter display more features and more durability plus for me I prefer a bigger and brighter screen.. I don’t know if you didn’t know this but your suppose to wear the ultra behind the wrist bone. That way the watch is not going to hurt when you but it on, and it doesn’t matter if you have a skinny or bigger wrist if you put the ultra watch behind the wrist bone it’s not going to push against your hand or pinch the skin…
