Okay, but is there an alternative for people who get cold sores? Because I have chronic dry lips that most lip products can't touch. The glycolic acid with an occlusion worked *really* well... right up until it gave me a cold sore (totally on me, I was warned)!

Would you suggest this for dry, chapped lips that have a history of cold sores? Do you do this when there are no cold sores or not at all? My lips are always dry. I’d love to try this!

I tried 7% glycolic acid on my lips with zinc and castor oil ointment last night. The centre of my lips swelled beyond belief! Don't think I'll be doing that again.

Dr Idress, can things like *Sculptra* be used to plump up lip volume? Im terrified of HA fillers & I'm looking for something w more long term benefits or less maintenance than PRP.. or better results? Can one w an autoimmune disease do PRP? Are fat transfers a thing for small areas like the back of the arm to the lips? I just cant maintain something thats essentially a lifestyle. & Are these things extremely expensive?
